BEING, FEMININE PLURAL | Photography Exhibition

Over the coming months, the Art Gallery by Hotel Annunziata is dedicating its program to female photography 📷✨. We are particularly happy to finally present two incredible artists who have turned irony into not just a stylistic signature, but a true critical gesture.

From March 7 to April 28, 2026, our Art Gallery hosts ESSERE, PLURALE FEMMINILE (BEING, FEMININE PLURAL), a photographic exhibition by Valeria Ciardulli and Giulia Filippi.

“A work of art is always a confession,” wrote Umberto Eco. In this exhibition, the confession is never one-sided or definitive: it is a process, a continuous movement between what is shown and what one is.
Valeria Ciardulli and Giulia Filippi build a visual dialogue where the image becomes a space for identity negotiation—a territory where the body, environment, and daily details are transformed into language.
Their photographs inhabit a subtle balance between communication and introspection, surface and depth. Here, color takes on psychological and narrative value, composition becomes expressive precision, and irony acts as a critical gesture capable of sabotaging glossy perfection and imposed aesthetic models.
Femininity emerges not as a style, but as the freedom to exist outside of stereotypes—the possibility of being "many" without having to choose a definitive form.
Two artists, two identities, two different and complementary perspectives; two distinct ways of inhabiting oneself and the image.
